The places that change us are worth protecting. We travel light, treat the land and the people on it with respect, and want every place we visit to be better for our having been there.
We follow Leave No Trace on every trail, beach and river. What we carry in, we carry out.
We work with local guides, cooks and businesses wherever we go, so the money a retreat brings stays with the people who live there.
Each retreat gives something back to the place that hosts us. We share the details with each group before the trip.
We go deep into the fabric of every place we visit - learning about the women who built it or had a big part in shaping it. Their stories are part of the trip.
You're not looking for the exit. You want more of what's already pulling at you - and women to do the hard work beside you. That's what this is.

Founder and group guide
About the founder
After working in the tech and agency worlds and more than a decade at PepsiCo, Debra built a career across commercial leadership, brand strategy, and sustainability - giving her a firsthand understanding of the pace, pressure, and possibility of modern business.
Born in Argentina, Debra has lived in Buenos Aires; Winnipeg and Toronto in Canada; and Miami, Arkansas and Denver in the United States. Across three countries, her path has never followed a single line. Alongside corporate leadership, she has built ventures of her own and navigated ambition across different places, cultures and chapters of life.
Colorado began as a vacation and became a place she couldn't stop thinking about. She fell in love with the mountains, the wide-open skies and the way life could unfold outside. A few years later, she made the move. She has called Colorado home since 2021 — and it is where Wild Ambition is proudly headquartered.
The through-line
Running through all of it has been a deeper pull: the feeling of becoming fully alive outside routine. From childhood memories of Patagonia to a lifetime of rock climbing, hiking, surfing, and diving, Debra found that the clearest perspective rarely came from staying inside the usual rhythm of life.
She is happiest with salt on her skin, dirt on her boots, or her heart still hammering from a climb. After a hard hike, her brain finally decompresses. On a surfboard, she feels the thrill of being fully present. Underwater, she finds a peace that office walls have never matched.
But the real magic has always been the women beside her - the fullness of learning their stories, and the unmistakable spark of helping each other thrive.
Now based in Denver, she created Wild Ambition to bring those worlds together: the depth of real business experience and the transformative power of adventure, nature, and human connection.
